In efforts to bolster the squad and overtake Negeri Sembilan as the leaders of the Malaysia Premier League, Terengganu have announced three new signings.
Head coach Irfan Bakti has confirmed the arrival of three new players in his squad to strengthen the team ahead of the second half of the season.
The Turtles have signed two attacking players, Gabriel Davis Dos Santos and Mohamad Ridzuan Abdunloh, as well as a goalkeeper, Mohamad Faizal Mohamad Yusoff.
Gabriel Davis was just spotted in Terengganu yesterday, as the Brazilian was rumoured to take the place of Lutfulla Turaev in the midfield department.
The rumour is no longer a rumour, all three players have inked a deal with Terengganu yesterday and have also commenced training with the squad at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Stadium.
Gabriel Davis is a well-experienced attacking midfielder from Brazil, having played in clubs like Lajeadense, CRAC, Sertaozinho, Villa Nova, and Rio Grande, amongst others.
Together with 23-year-old Mohamad Ridzuan, who is known for his pace and precise crosses, Terengganu would have an unstoppable attacking force in the Premier League when the second season commences.
Meanwhile, Mohammad Faizal had to be brought in since the goalkeeping department in Terengganu is currently plagued with injuries.
Irfan Bakti announced in May that Terengganu will drop Lutfulla Turaev and Federico Falcone from the squad due to their unsatisfactory performance. The other import players, Issey Farran Nakajima and Lazaro Vinicius will remain in the squad.
