“We need to win to catch up with JDT” – Dollah Salleh ahead of Selangor clash

Pahang head coach Dollah Salleh wants his team to move on from the FA Cup final defeat against Kedah and turn their attention to Selangor at the Selayang Stadium tonight.

The Elephants suffered a painful 3-2 loss against Nidzam Adzha’s men at the Shah Alam Stadium last Saturday after playing like warriors despite going to ten man in the first half.

However, Dollah Salleh wants his team to snap out of the disappointment and do everything in their power to earn three valuable points against to keep with Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT), who are currently ahead by six points in the Malaysia Super League (MSL) standing.

“I hope the players forget the pain they suffered from failing to win the FA Cup title. Instead, I want them to focus on the match against Selangor to apply pressure on JDT,” he said as quoted by Berita Harian.

“Victory will be important to redeem ourselves after the loss against Kedah last week.”

“My mission is to chase JDT, and I do not need to worry about the teams below us.” the head coach said.

Pahang are currently in second place in the Super League table, while JDT are comfortably enjoying their first place with six points clear on top.
