TSAM confirms he’s meeting Bako over lunch today

Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) are currently looking to replace their Lebanese star striker, Mohammed Ghaddar, who transferred to Johor Darul Ta’zim for a record fee.

Consequently, KAFA are have found another Lebanese forward, Abou Bakr Al-Mel, to fill in the vacant spot left by Ghaddar in the forward line.

Although we didn’t hear anything from KAFA yesterday, the news of the transfer was confirmed by a post on Abou Bakr Al-Mel’s Instagram page, where he posted a picture of himself with the caption “To my new team Kelantan”.

Today, Tan Sri Annuar Musa has revealed that Abou Bakr Al-Mel, or better known as Bako, will be arriving in Malaysia this afternoon. The KAFA adviser confirmed that the Lebanese forward will arrive at 12.30 pm, and both Bako and Tan Sri Annuar will be having lunch, presumably to discuss his contractual conditions.

In another entry, Tan Sri Annuar Musa said “It’s alright if he wants to leave… we carry on with our efforts”, referring to former striker Mohammed Ghaddar who said he had to leave Kelantan for financial reasons.

Tan Sri Annuar also revealed that KAFA have sent air tickets to Bako so he can fly to Malaysia and meet with Tan Sri Annuar today.

Bako has an impressive track record with his former club, Tripoli, where he scored 16 goals in 20 matches played. Apart from that, he was also crowned as the Best Player in the 2017 Lebanon Premier League.

The 24-year-old is comfortable playing as centre forward, although he can play as a winger whenever required.
