For the first 15 minutes, both sides did not conjure anything decisive until Cabrera’s opener sparked the game to life that saw an entertaining first-half with three more goals. Hazwan’s effort was fortunate to deflected in off Super’s leg that fooled Muller completely.
Although JDT will look back and hope they don’t rue the goals they conceded where no one closed down Rodriguez and Marañon. They have a small advantage and they can’t afford to start off slowly in front of a hostile Ceres crowd. Look what happened when they did against Global in the group stages.
JDT also hope they have Aidil Zafuan or Fadhli Shas back in time for the 2nd leg. Dominic Tan looked very uncomfortable as he didn’t get on Marañon enough and almost gifted Ceres a third away goal. However, when the 2nd leg comes in, JDT hope Mohammed Ghaddar to bang in the away goals to seal the tie. All in all, this game has set-up a potential cracking 2nd leg on 31 May.
