Melaka United have agreed to part ways with Malaysian football legend Amri Yahyah during this transfer window after the latter will chose to reunite with his state of birth, Selangor.
Amri Yahyah spent 12 years in Selangor before moving down south in 2014.
The 36 year-old joined The Mousedeers in 2017 after spending three glorious years with Johor Darul Ta’azim (JDT), which saw him win the league thrice, the FA Cup and AFC Cup.
However, he seemed to fall out of the pecking order in the team and head coach Eric Williams preferred to use only Ilija Spasojević in the starting line-up than the both of them. He appeared ten times for them in the Malaysia Super League (MSL) this season.
The transfer was announced by the Selangor Twitter account today afternoon.
Amri Yahyah will take part in a friendly match against MISC-MIFA later this evening.
