Kelantan FA (KAFA) have finally spoken up about their star striker, Mohammed Ghaddar’s transfer to southern club, Johor Darul Ta’zim.
According to KAFA’s Vice President Muhd Nasir Hamzah, KAFA have received three different offers from Johor Darul Ta’zim so far. Upon the third best offer made by the Southern Tigers, KAFA are finally ready to let the Lebanese star go.
“After careful deliberation, we have decided to accept the third offer by JDT for Mohammed Ghaddar. Therefore, I would like to declare that Ghaddar officially belongs to JDT with immediate effect – on the agreed upon conditions.” the vice president wrote on Facebook.
“It is a win-win deal for both sides, and KAFA will be paid a huge sum of money by the M League standards. It’s also a record transaction in the history of Malaysian football.”
Muhd Nasir Hamzah also added they are not giving Ghaddar up solely for financial reasons, but mostly because the Lebanese striker has made it clear that he is not interested to play with The Red Warriors any longer, as is evident on his Facebook and Instagram pages.
“In KAFA, we’ve always had financial troubles, it’s not a new thing. But no matter what, we will still stay strong and compete in the M League.” the vice president added.
Before ending his statement, Nasir Hamzah also said that this move is the best for all parties, for KAFA, for Ghaddar, and for JDT.
