Kelantan striker Mohammed Ghaddar is expected to become the highest paid player in Malaysian football history once his move to Johor Darul Ta’azim (JDT) is officialized.
According to Utusan, the Lebanese international could potentially be looking at a monthly salary of between RM170,000 to RM200,000.
The source highlighted that the reason behind the substantial amount of money is because of the striker’s form for Kelantan this season, after bagging 18 goals in 11 league matches.
“The transfer value for the forward is set at RM2 million,” he said as quoted by Utusan.
“This transfer will make him the most expensive player in Malaysian football.
The source also mentioned that Mohammed Ghaddar was earning RM200,000 plus bonuses in one season for The Red Warriors, whereas he would be earning nearly that amount in a month at Larkin. The transfer fee will allow Kelantan to settle the unpaid wages of player.
