“This is an opportunity of a lifetime” – Ghaddar confirms JDT move

Lebanese striker Mohammed Ghaddar has confirmed that he’ll be departing Kelantan FA to join reigning Malaysia Super League champions Johor DT.

Ghaddar has been in red hot form for the Red Warriors this year, bagging 18 goals in 11 Super League matches. JDT have been keeping tabs on him for a considerable period of time now, though it now appears that they have officially agreed a deal to nab him.

“After a great and remarkable half-season in Kelantan, and with all my respect to the club and fans, I announce that I will be leaving the club to move on my career to JDT. This is an opportunity of a lifetime for me as a professional footballer and for my family,” he posted on his official Facebook page.

“I highly appreciate what Kelantan FC has done for me, especially Tan Sri Annuar Musa, who always considers me as his son. I will always remember my second home Kelantan FC,” he added.

This comes after weeks of intense speculation that even left Tan Sri Annuar Musa completely frustrated. He took to Facebook to dispute the rumours at one point, claiming that they are not only hellbent on keeping Ghaddar, but also determined to find a capable strike partner for him, when the second transfer window opened up.

More to come…
