JDT set to make highest bid in Malaysian football history for Mohammed Ghaddar

Kelantan’s explosive striker, Mohammed Ghaddar, will be making his way to Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) this transfer window – there’s no question about it anymore.

JDT’s Sports Director Alistiar Edwards has confirmed that JDT has sent an official offer letter to KAFA to obtain the Lebanese player.

That means that the only questions that remain are when is it officially happening, and how much is JDT willing to pay for him.

Alistair Edwards said that JDT will make a “win-win” bid for Mohammed Ghaddar, a bid that will benefit both JDT and KAFA.

Edwards did not specify the amount, but he revealed that the purchase of Ghaddar is set to be the “highest domestic transfer” in the history of Malaysian football.

“The deal is still under negotiation and will be a win-win situation for all concerned with this deal — becoming the highest domestic transfer in Malaysian football history.” Edwards said in a statement.

“Kelantan will be able to settle their financial issues and purchase new players and JDT will get an excellent player who has a proven track record and is hungry for success.” he added.

Mohammed Ghaddar, 33, has scored a whopping total of 18 goals for Kelantan this season, with two hat-tricks under his belt.

As a result, Ghaddar was voted as PFAM-Asiana.my’s MSL Player of the Month for April, beating out candidates like Safiq Rahim, Matheus Alves, and Hafiz Kamal.

Will he be a good addition for JDT? Let us know your thoughts.
