Penang Football Association (FAP) have decided to terminate the services of two players.
The Panthers, who are currently sitting in last place in the Malaysia Super League (MSL), have been reported to part ways with two foreign players, Andy Russell and Diogo Ferreira.
Penang head coach Zainal Abidin Hassan believes that their performance this season is not up to par and will be replacing them with players from Africa, Australia or United States.
The players will arrive in Penang within a few weeks to undergo trial sessions.
The ex-Selangor gaffer hopes that the 17-day break before their match against Kelantan on home grounds will prove to be enough for them to find their replacements in time.
FAP signed Andy Russell from South China and Diogo Ferreira joined from Persib Bandung.
