Brazil’s never-ending supply of wonderkids isn’t exactly a fad anymore – it’s a constant these days. While the national team continues to struggle on the international front, the Seleccaos continue to produce bright prospectcs. Take a look at Manchester City’s latest revelation, Gabriel Jesus.
But the next one on the card appears to be Flamengo’s Vinicius Junior. The 16 year-old has been raising eyebrows all over Europe with his scintillating performances in Brazilian football, which explains why scouts from some of the biggest teams in world football have been keeping tabs on his progress.
According to Brazil’s Globoesporte though, Vinicius will sign for Real Madrid after the 2018 World Cup, when he officially turns 18. The deal will reportedly cost 61 million euros in total, but the biggest victory for Madrid comes in the fact that they beat rivals Barcelona to his signature.
We’ve included a video compilation of the Flamengo starlet below – it’s not difficult to see why Madrid were willing to pay an exorbitant amount of money for his signature.
