Immigration of Malaysia promise to facilitate registration of foreign players

In efforts to further improve the quality of M-League and foreign players’ registration in Malaysia, the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) held a special meeting with the Football Malaysia LLP (FMLLP) and the Immigration Department of Malaysia.

The aim of the meeting is to resolve the problems plaguing foreign M-League players in Malaysia.

FAM’s Secretary-General YH Dato’ Haji Hamidin Haji Mohd Amin, Director-General of Immigration Department YB Dato’ Sri Haji Mustafar Bin Haji Ali, and FMLLP Head of Competition Department, Mr Mohd Shazli Shaik Mohd were all present at the meeting.

In the meeting, the three parties deliberated about the current SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) about foreign player’s registration in Malaysia and how to facilitate the registration process to make it easier for the clubs.

The Immigration Department of Malaysia will be organising briefing sessions for all the M-League teams so they are players and officials are clear about the immigration department’s SOP, rules for registration and other regulations they need to obey.

Apart from that, FMLLP will also make sure that the Director-General of Immigration Department of Malaysia meet with all the secretaries from M-League teams for a special briefing on the matter.

After that, both parties will proceed to discuss the best solution to facilitate the online registration process introduced by the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
