Borussia Dortmund have confirmed that their team bus was involved in an explosion near the official team hotel, forcing the fixture to be postponed to 12 April 2017, Wednesday.
According to Bild, Spanish defender Marc Bartra was injured as a result of the incident and has been transported to the hospital for treatment. No one else is believed to be hurt at this point.

“At our bus departure, an incident has occurred. One person was injured. More information to follow,” an official statement from Borussia Dortmund said.

The club went on to also tweet about the incident: “Bomb explosion at the team bus at the team hotel. Players are safe. No hazard in and at the stadium. More information to follow.”
Reports on The Telegraph also mention that ‘windows were broken’ during the explosion, which occurred in a junction at Schirrmannweg and Wittbraucker Strasse. They also went on to claim that three explosions took place, as the team bus approached Signal Iduna Park.
Meanwhile, FC Barcelona – who are also involved in a Champions League tie tonight – have tweeted a message of support for Dortmund and their former player, Bartra.
