After the first round of the All-England open yesterday, almost all the Malaysian shuttlers made it through to Round 2.
Mens’ doubles duo Ong Yew Sin-Teo Ee Yi were defeated 1-2 by Taiwan’s Lu Ching Yao-Yang Po Han [14-21, 21-13, 18-21], and had to bid farewell to their All-England 2017 campaign.
Today’s Round 2 fixtures will see Datuk Lee Chong Wei going up against Taiwan’s Wang Tau Wei.
Datuk Lee Chong Wei defeated France’s Brice Leverdez 2-0 [21-15, 21-12] yesterday. His opponent, Tzu Wei Wang defeated Hong Kong’s Wei Nan 17-21, 21-19, 21-14 in the first round 1 fixture.
Match time: 8.30 pm
The mens’ doubles fixtures will see Malaysia’s Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong taking on China’s Liu Xialong and Xu Chen.
Match time: 3.40 am
In the women’s doubles category, we have Vivian Hoo and Woon Khe Wei going up against Jung Kyung Eun and Shin Seung Chan.
Match time: 12.20 am
For the mixed doubles fixture, we still both our teams in the tournament. Peng Soon-Liu Ying will be taking on China’s Zhang Nan and Li Yinhui.
Tan Kian Meng and Lai Pei Jing will go up against Korea’s Yoo Yeong Seoung and Kim Ha Na.
