“I have tried everything” – Razip Ismail ready to quit as Perlis boss

After weeks of debating Razip Ismail’s position as head coach in Perlis FA, he has eventually arrived at the decision to call it quits.

This decision comes after Perlis suffered a huge defeat to Kuantan FA during a Malaysia Premier League fixture. Kuantan destroyed Perlis 5-0 at home at the Darul Makmur Stadium last Friday.

Four consecutive losses in five games

It would seem that Perlis hit a new low under coach Razip Ismail. The northern team has lost six games this season, and suffered four consecutive losses in their last five premier league fixtures.

Perlis lost 1-2 to PKNS FC, 2-0 to PDRM FA, 1-2 to to Terengganu, and most recently 5-0 to Kuantan.

I don’t know what else I can do – Razip Ismail

According to the head coach, he has tried everything and failed to yield any positive result.

“I have tried everything from changing strategy, rotating players and resting my import players, but nothing worked. There’s only so much I can do.” the former Malaysian national player said.

“When I’ve tried to reinforce every department but the results remain the same, it’s very disappointing.”

“I’ve already informed PFA (Perlis Football Association) about my intention to resign. Let’s wait and see,” he told Harian Metro.

Perlis is currently at the botton of the table with two points. They have conceded 13 goals in their last five games.

After their match against Terengganu on the 28th of February, a group of Perlis fans staged a protest outside the stadium, waiting to confront Razip.

But according to Razip, he is not entirely at fault..

“I also hope that the fans will understand that Perlis has limited resources, especially in terms of players. It’s hard to win with a line-up of players that are rejects of other teams. Most of them shouldn’t even be in the premier league.” Razor confessed.

So, will he stay or will he go? Who is to blame for Perlis’ dismal form this season?
