JDT take a jab at KAFA over Jonny McKain’s unpaid salary

Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) have taken a jab at an “individual” running for the post of Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) president on their Facebook page.

On the Johor Southern Tigers Facebook page, JDT posted a screenshot of former Kelantan import Jonathan McKain’s rebuttal tweet to a news claiming that Kelantan FA (KAFA) has paid up all the pending wages.

The news from FourthOfficial was about KAFA’s secretary general, Datuk Ismail Md Noor, who claimed that KAFA has settled all the pending wages owed in the month of January and February to their players and officials.

Datuk Ismail also went on to warn the media not to spread lies and rumours that may tarnish KAFA’s reputation.

However, former Kelantan import Jonathan McKain begged to differ.

“LIARS. Why do they continue to make public statements that are false. I HAVEN’T been paid and my case is currently at FIFA. I’m not alone…” McKain posted on Twitter, quoting the news by FourthOfficial.com

Kelantan’s former head coach, Velizar Popov, further reiterated McKain’s tweet by tweeting “You’re not alone…” Popov is also one the many that KAFA owed money to and have yet to pay up.

Several local football fans have also voiced their support for McKain, saying that they hope he gets paid soon and also urging KAFA to stand true to their words.

Johor Darul Ta’zim went on to question the “individual” about how can he yearn to be FAM’s president and talk about “financial fair play” when there are still “many outstanding issues regarding unpaid salaries of local and foreign players as well as debts” that are still plaguing “individual”s former club.

So KAFA, what do you guys have to say about this?
