After suffering an embarrassing 5-0 loss to Pahang last Saturday, T-Team is determined to bounce back and turn over a new leaf when they face Penang FA at the Stadium Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Shah this weekend.
Rahmad Darmawan’s boys failed to make an impression at the Darul Makmur Stadium last week as Pahang bombarded their opponents with goal after goal through Sumareh, Heo Jae Won, Dike, and a brace by Alves.
The Titans are now looking to revamp their performance when they face their northern opponent, and a huge part of it will come from analysing their game play and where it all went wrong. T-Team’s assistant coach, Mohd Azhari Salim admits that they style of play was ineffective against The Elephants.
“It was an unexpected loss, but we have to be positive about it.” Mohd Azhari told Berita Harian.
He admits that Pahang was the better team that night, but The Titans should not allow the loss to quell their spirit. He believes that they can turn things around and bag a win if they make some changes to their strategy.
“We tried our best to put up a good fight against Pahang, but it didn’t work. Pahang was relentless, they made the best out of every chance they got. But we can bounce back, we will prove ourselves in the game against Penang.” he asserted.
“Since we’ll be playing at home, we have the added advantage, and we can make use of that.” he added.
