Looks like Kedah’s right back Rizal Ghazali is quite the player, and we’re not on the pitch, but at breaking hearts.
The 25-year old apparently made a deal with FELDA United to sign for the club, just before the Malaysia Super League kicked off, but did not go through with it. Instead, he was seen in action with northern side Kedah during the Charity Shield match against Johor Darul Ta’zim.
While he’s at it, Rizal has also signed a one-year extension deal with the Red Eagles.
Needless to say, FELDA is upset with Rizal for not keeping his end of the bargain, so have approached Football Association of Malaysia’s (FAM) statutory committee to take further action against the rightback. If found guilty, he could be suspended for violating the transfer regulations.
FAM’s statutory committee vice president Aziz Yeop Jamaluddin has confirmed that both Kedah FA and Rizal Ghazali have been notified of this matter, and they have until the 27th of January to respond.
He also called for all parties involved to cooperate; as the Super League has kicked off and he does not want any complications involving the two clubs.
“We’ve given letters to KFA and Rizal and we’re waiting for them to respond to FELDA’s accusations. I cannot reveal what’s in the affidavit, but I can only confirm that FELDA have voiced their disapproval. They have also given all the relevant documents.” he told Harian Metro.
“I only hope that we can solve this as soon as possible. FAM has also been notified, just in case both clubs fail to come to an agreement and we hit a dead end.” he added.
