The Sabah FA (SAFA) has hired Frenchman Adlane Messelem as their new team manager yesterday.
Messalem, 39, will work alongside head coach, compatriot Steve Vilmaire to steer the side to Super League promotion as he is determined to restore Sabah’s glory days.
Messalem is thrilled with the appointment, but he admits that the status is new for him.
“My mission is the same as before, and that is to bring a higher discipline and professionalism in this organization along with making sure that we do our best to achieve targets,” Messalem told Harian Metro.
“I’m a realistic person, but at the same time, I have high ambitions. I will make sure Sabah returns to the Super League as soon as possible,”
Sabah will face Negeri Sembilan away in their first 2017 Premier League match.
