Sarawak FA are edging closer towards agreeding a deal to finally secure the signature of Syahrul Azwari from Kelantan FA.
The Crocs signed the ex-Harimau Muda player at the end of last year, before FAM rendered the move invalid, claiming that Syahrul is required to re-join his hometown team – which is Kelantan – after leaving Harimau Muda.
However, both clubs were allowed to negotiate and Syahrul would only be allowed to move should he receive green light from Kelantan. And according to Sarawak FA President Datu Sudarsono Othman, the deal is almost done.
This will finally put an end to the saga that would have visibly taken a minor toll on Datuk K. Rajagobal’s pre-season preparations with Sarawak FA. The ex-Malaysian national team boss is making a return to the local football scene, and has been tasked with securing a top five finish for the Crocs.
