Terengganu’s search for a fourth and final foreign player has come to an end after the team completed the signing of Juan Jose Morales on a one-year deal.
The former Atletico All Boys striker, 34, sealed his move to The Turtles after signing a contract on Tuesday. The Argentinian will replace Paulo Rangel as their fourth foreign player, after the latter joined Johor Darul Ta’azim at the end of 2015.
The Bella Vistan-born forward will now combine forces with Vincent Bikana, Gustavo Fabian Lopez and Issey Nakajima in order to have a chance of competing with the bigger teams in Super League this season.
Prior to this, Terengganu FA was having a hard time searching for a suitable candidate to fill in the last slot, despite testing more than 20 players. However, Terengganu’s loyalists were delighted by the presence of Juan Jose Morales during the ceremony on Tuesday.
Terengganu head coach, Ahmad Yusof admitted his relief after confirming the signing of Morales. He believes the Argentinian forward will be influential in his side’s quest for a trophy this season.
