Budding Malaysian diver, Loh Zhiayi, is determined to make an impression at the upcoming 2017 SEA Games come August next year.
The 19 year-old recently bagged a bronze medal in the World Diving Grand Prix held in Kuching in October. Together with her partner, Kimberly Bong, the duo took home another bronze medal in the women’s 10m platform synchro at the Australian leg in Gold Coast.
Now, she is focused on acing the 2017 SEA Games in all 13 diving events.
“I hope I can win at least one gold for Malaysia in the SEA Games.” Loh Zhiayi said.
She will most probably be paired with her partner, Muhammad Syafiq, for mixed synchronised swimming. The duo won gold the last time they were paired together at the FINA Diving Grand Prix in Puerto Rico.
“I want to do my very best, especially since we will be competing in home soil. I am determined to make it as big as those who have already made it in the international arena.”
Loh Zhiayi is also in the ‘Kita Juara’ program to prepare her to take on the SEA Games in August next year.
