Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo must be so talented and influential that Nike wants to keep him with them forever.
The 31-year old just inked a contract with Nike for life, and the deal is believed to be worth around $1 billion. And Cristiano is only the third athlete in the history of sports to have been given that honour.
The other two athletes to receive this privilege were NBA legends Michael Jordan and LeBron James.
Nike and Cristiano have always shared a special bond, their relationship dates all the way back to 2003 when the Portuguese wore Nike boots in a friendly for Sporting Lisbon. The pair never looked back since, and Cristiano has just released his iconic CR7 Chapter 3: Discovery boots with Nike.
Well, looks like Cristiano Ronaldo will never have to work a day in his life after retiring from football!
