Former Arsenal star Thierry Henry was one of familiar faces at the Wembley to catch some National Football League (NFL) action. The Washington Redskins were going up against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
Also spotted at Wembley was Manchester United’s star Paul Pogba, who was seen at his first ever NFL game in London. The two Frenchmen naturally bumped into each other and got into a bit of banter, but was not received well by the crowd.
The fans at Wembley booed Henry as he engaged in a conversation with his fellow Frenchman, much to everyone’s surprise. The two carried on anyway, and also stole the spotlight at Wembley. Of course, one legend, and well, and supposedly a legend in the making.
Henry has defended Pogba’s lacklustre performance with Manchester United, he said in an interview with ESPN that he has faith in Pogba. “Nowadays, people want things to happen very fast. He needs time to adapt.” he said.
We’ll see about that, Monsieur Henry, we’ll see.
