On the show ‘League of Legends’ hosted by Adam C on Astro Sport, former footballer and football pundit Carlton Palmer talks about why he’s upset with his former teammate, Matt Le Tisser.
Former English footballer Matt Le Tissier accused Palmer of being a bully when they were both at Southampton, and Palmer lashes out at him.
According to Palmer, Le Tisser is a talented player, but unfit. “He used to miss a lot of games, he used to miss a lot of training. So I got about at him, because it’s my living, and he didn’t like it because he wasn’t fit.”
Le Tissier also made a comment that the problem with English football is that someone like Carlton Palmer getting 16 England Cups, and someone like him only got 8 England cups.
“Why did he not go to a big club? Why didn’t he not go and test himself, if he’s such a good player?”
“It’s not a question of whether he’s a better player than me. The facts are, I’ve had a better career than him. So he’s underachieved.”
Palmer also claims that Le Tissier only made those comments for publicity reasons. When face to face with Palmer, Le Tissier never said anything to his face.
