Looks like Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has already started planning for life after football.
The 31 year-old recently officiated the Pestana CR7 Hotel in his hometown, Funchal. The 4-star hotel is located just next to a harbour, the outdoor pool offering a beautiful view of his exquisite hometown.
The Pestana CR7 Funchal is the result of a partnership between Cristiano and Pestana Hotels. Together, they will be launching two more hotels; one in Madrid and one in New York.
Fret not, the Portuguese national doesn’t see himself retiring from football just yet, at least not for another decade. “Life is not just about football,” Ronaldo told A Bola. “Although football is my grand passion, I must start to think about the future. I don’t have many years left, about 10 more or less, so I must look to the future.”
The hotel provides an immersive experience for fans, from animated screens in the lifts that explore Cristiano Ronaldo’s life story, to the surround sound sensors in the staircases which project the sounds of cheering fans in a football stadium.
You can choose from the basic rooms, or the CR7 suite, which has the best view and equipped with 48″ HD TV, PlayStation 4 (with virtual reality glasses & games), and cardio work-out equipment.
