The kings are back!
Malaysia’s Paralympic contingent officially touched down at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport this afternoon, and they were given a heroic welcome at the Kompleks Bunga Raya!
Extra attention was visibly focused on Malaysia’s four medalist – Ridzuan Puzi (T36 100m Gold), Abdul Latif Romly (T20 Long Jump Gold), Ziyad Zolkefli (T20 Shot Put Gold) and Siti Noor Radiah – all of whom were brimming with joy and pride, having made history at Rio de Janeiro.
As soon as their aircraft touched down at KLIA, they were given the customary ‘water salute’ – to the roar of excited fans within Kompleks Bunga Raya.

Najib also went on to deliver a speech, before announcing that Siti Noor Radiah would be receiving RM200,000 instead of RM100,000 for winning a bronze medal for the country. As soon as the ceremony in KLIA was done, all the athletes got into a specially-designed bus and headed towards Kuala Lumpur City Centre!
