National track cyclist, Azizulhasni Awang has made the cut to round 2 in the keirin event.
The 28-year-old was forced to take the hard route via repechage after finishing 6th in the round 1 heats.
It looked like the keirin ace was struggling at the back before delivering his trademark burst to finish first and clinched a spot in the second round.
Eight best racers from the first round and four top repechage cyclists will complete the list of contestants for round 2, which will begin at 3:46 a.m. (local time).
