#Rio2016: Jun Hoong gunning for 10m synchronized platform redemption

National female diver, Cheong Jun Hoong insists that she has gotten over the disappointment of losing out a podium spot in the 3m synchronized springboard with Nur Dhabitah Sabri.

In fact, the Perak-born athlete is determined to redeem her mistakes with a solid performance in the 10m synchronized platform alongside London 2012 bronze medallist, Pandelela Rinong.

“I have moved on from what happened in the 3m synchronized springboard event. This is because I have an important task to fulfill in the 10m synchronized platform.

“I don’t want to make another error and I hope I can redeem myself tomorrow. I don’t want to let my partner down again,” she said, as quoted by Berita Harian.

Jun Hoong was in tears after admitting that her mistakes cost her and Dhabitah the bronze in the 3m synchronized springboard.

They were in pole position to secure 3rd spot until Jun Hoong’s mistake during the fourth dive allowed their competitors to finish above them. Jun Hoong and Dhabitah completed the competition in fifth.
