Ex-JDT player Patito Rodriguez has found a new club!

Former JDT and Santos player Patito Rodriguez has officially signed for Greek Super League side AEK Athens.

The 26 year-old striker completed a permanent move from Santos earlier this week, signing a two-year deal with the Greek giants, ending his six-year tenure with Brazilian side Santos.

Patito joined Santos from Independiente in 2012, and even drew the attention of ex-Man United boss Sir Alex Ferguson at that point. However, the Argentinean forward was unable to really make a mark with Santos and was eventually shipped back on loan to Estudiantes in 2013.

A couple of years later, Patito joined JDT on a season-long loan, and showed flashes of brilliance during the first two months. However, the pacy forward eventually succumbed to injury, before his loan spell in Malaysia was prematurely ended by the Southern Tigers.

He returned to Santos for rehabilitation and appears to now be set for a fresh challenge with AEK Athens, who will be looking to improve on their 4th place finish from last season.
