Johor DT owner Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ismail has urged the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to focus on bigger issues within the country, instead of interfering in the ongoing feud between him and Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).
Speaking through Johor DT’s official Facebook page, Tunku Ismail said: “To MACC, your actions shows that MACC is so desperate to investigate FAM. There are plenty of other bigger cases in the country that MACC still are not able to solve.
“Perhaps it’s better to focus on these unsolved cases. The information in the pendrive belongs to me. I will personally solve this issue and should i require any assistance from MACC, I will inform MACC. There is no need to make a big fuss regarding the matter,” he added.
TMJ (as he’s fondly known) recently claimed to be in possession of a pendrive containing information and secrets about FAM’s dirty practices within the sport. The revelation sparked intense reactions from different pockets of individuals, with MACC coming into the picture as well.
MACC went on to release a statement earlier this week, urging TMJ to handover the pen drive, for officials to investigate his claims and accusations.
However, TMJ then revealed that he intends to directly meet FAM officials, and offer ‘corrupted individuals’ within the organisation a chance to step down and move away from the national football scene.
