Johor Darul Ta’azim (JDT) have officially announced the signing of Selangor’s Azrif Nasrulhaq.
The national team wing-back expressed his desire to join the Malaysia Super League (MSL), FA Cup and AFC Cup winners last month and his wish came true with a last-minute signing.
Azrif Nasrulhaq will now battle it out with S. Kunanlan and Mahali Jasuli for a spot on the right-hand side and will be looking forward to start his first game against Kedah on Saturday.
The 25 year-old defender started his career with PKNS in 2010 before being called up to the Harimau Muda A team in 2013. He joined Selangor last year and has impressed ever since, even getting himself a call-up to the national team and playing under Datuk Ong Kim Swee.
The Southern Tigers, who currently saw four of their players (Safiq Rahim, Aidil Zafuan, S. Kunanlan, Amirulhadi Zainal) retire from Harimau Malaysia because of the lack of professionalism by the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), are aiming to win three more trophies this year after already winning the Charity Shield in February and FA Cup in May.
