Pahang FC forward Kogileswaran Raj has made it his mission to help his club win the prestigious Malaysia Cup trophy, which will undoubtedly save their miserable season.
Kogileswaran Raj recently rejoined The Elephants squad after being temporarily suspended from Malaysian football because of a breach in contract with Frenz United this season. However, he was recently released by Frenz United and officially registered with Pahang FC.
The 17 year-old is eager to get back on the pitch and play in the traditional yellow kit.
“I am grateful to be back in the Pahang squad again,” Kogileswaran told FourthOfficial.com.
“The past five months have been difficult for me and I am glad that the case has been settled. I am grateful to Mr. Fahrizal (ex-Pahang FC CEO) for getting me back into the squad.
The ex-Harimau Muda C boy wants to break into the first team and win a trophy with them.
“I need as much experience as I can get in the Malaysia Super League (MSL) and I want to score goals as well. I want to help save the club’s season by winning the Malaysia Cup.
Kogileswaran was called up to the national Under-19 squad by Frank Bernhardt for the upcoming AFF U-19 Youth Championship in Hanoi, Vietnam from September 11 to 24.
“I want to help the national team go as far as we can in the AFF Youth Cup in Vietnam and also play a part in the upcoming SEA Games tournament in Kuala Lumpur next year.”
Kogileswaran Raj and teammate R. Dinesh left to Watford in March to undergo training with the Under-21 squad under the tutelage of ex-Liverpool and Leeds United player Harry Kewell.
