Selangor wing-back Mohd Azrif Nasrulhaq has expressed his intention of joining two-time Malaysia Super League winners Johor Darul Ta’azim (JDT) before the transfer window closes and hopes that the Football Association of Selangor (FAS) gives him the green light to leave.
The recently crowned FA Cup champions declared their interest in Azrif Nasrulhaq before the season began but were unable to acquire his services because he was tied with Selangor.
However, the 25 year-old has had enough with Selangor and is looking to move down south.
“Please let me go now because this chance will not come again,” he said to Stadium Astro.
“I have discussed this matter with my family and I hope that Selangor will allow me to leave.
Azrif Nasrulhaq has nothing but respect and love for Selangor and wants to leave in the most professional manner possible, but he does not want to wait until the end of the season.
He is currently in talks with Selangor manager Amirudin Shari regarding his buy-out clause.
“I have not met him (Amirudin) or anyone in the management because I have been busy with the national team, but all I can tell you is that I want to join The Southern Tigers.”
