Group A action resumes tonight with Romania’s cruncher against Switzerland before France take on an Albanian side that’ll be without the services of skipper Lorik Cana.
It didn’t exactly send a warning to all the other Euro 2016 big guns but in patches France did impress against Romania despite the narrow scoreline.
Albania battled brilliantly down to ten men against the Swiss but the quick turnaround to game two and the extra energy they expended for ultimately no return in the opening fixture will surely take its toll.
They played with ten men for 54 minutes. Add to that the fact that captain Lorik Cana is suspended for this one and the path appears to be clear for the French to turn on the style in Marseille.
