The sporting world lost yet another icon today as boxing legend Muhammad Ali passed away aged 74.
The former world heavyweight boxing champion was suffering from two conditions – a respiratory illness as well as as Parkinson’s disease.
He was admitted into a hospital in Phoenix, Arizona on Thursday, though he unfortunately died earlier today, as confirmed by a family spokesman. The spokesman went on to confirm that the funeral will take place in Louisville, Kentucky on a date that will be confirmed soon.
