The National Football Development Program (NFDP) Under-14 team will face Datuk Dr. Noordin Ahmad’s FC Bari youth team as part of their Tour of Europe before flying off to France to compete in the Under-14 Elite Cup in Mougins from June 11 to 12.
The Under-14 team is currently travelling all around Europe to face youth teams of major European clubs and will play FC Bari next after already participating in four friendly matches.
NFDP technical director Lim Teong Kim has already witnessed his team playing against the likes of SV Anzing Under-16 from Germany (won 5-0), Red Bull Salzburg Under-14 (drew 0-0), Inter Milan Under-14 (drew 1-1) and Novara Calcio Under-14 of Italy (lost 3-2).
“I believe that my team can perform much better and I am hopeful that my boys will play at the highest level in the upcoming matches,” Lim Teong Kim said as quoted on NFDP Twitter.
The NFDP team will then face FC Lugano (June 5), Italian giants Juventus (June 7) and U.S. Cremonese (June 9) before heading to France to compete for the Under-14 Elite Cup, where they will face the likes of Paris Saint Germain, Olympique Lyonnais and Marseille.
They will then continue their Tour of Europe and go against teams such as AS Monaco, BSC Young Boys and will end their tour on June 25 against Austrian team VFV Austria.
