The Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) have decided to part ways with their club top goalscorer Ali Ashfaq because of the extent of the injury suffered by the Maldivian international player.
Ali Ashfaq announced his decision to leave the club in the wee hours of today morning on Twitter and hopes the club well in the second half of the season as well as the Malaysia Cup.

Ali Ashfaq then went on to say that he will decide on his future after recovering from injury.
“I would like to thank PDRM for everything they have done for me in the past two years and all The Cops fans including the whole Malaysian football family for the fantastic support.”
He joined PDRM after successive spells with Club Valencia, New Radiant and VB Sports Club, which saw him become the all-time Maldivian topscorer in all competitions (club & country).
The 30 year-old, who won the Malaysia Premier League (MPL) in 2014 to guide The Cops to the Malaysia Super League (MPL), was awarded the Best Foreign Player of the Year in 2014.
