Johor Darul Ta’azim (JDT) were graced with the presence of the Spanish giants Valencia CF during a joint training session at the Dato Suleiman Mohd Noor Training Facility yesterday.
The La Liga side attended the training session with the likes of Valencia captain Paco Alcácer, talented youngster Santi Mina, Javi Fuego and goalkeepers Mathew Ryan and Jaume Doménech. They were also joined by Los Che legends David Albelda and Gaizka Mendieta.
The purpose of the training session was part of Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim’s plans to develop football in Johor. The representatives from Valencia and La Liga met with The Southern Tigers’ senior management to discuss the ongoing development of the academy.
Valencia President Chan Lay Hoon also expressed his desire to build an academy in Johor.
La Liga released a video on Valencia’s experience during their trip to Malaysia and Singapore.
