Johor DT hosted a joint training session with several Valencia CF players earlier today, as a symbolic gesture of strengthtening the partnership that exists between both teams.
The Spanish giants are down in the region to assist their Singaporean owner, Peter Lim, in several promotional activities. Earlier today, the likes of Javi Fuego, Santi Mina, Matthew Ryan and even Jaume Domenech took the trip to Johor, where they engaged in a joint training session with the JDT players, at the newly-opened indoor training center.
JDT owner, Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim also dropped by to speak with Valencia CF officials, besides greeting the players just before the training session commenced.
Valencia is owned by Singaporean businessman Peter Lim, who also runs a foundation in Singapore that offers sports scholarships to aspiring local athletes. He’s a close friend of Tunku Ismail and has reportedly played a major part in helping JDT establish relationships with key individuals within the global football scene.
In February, TMJ was pictured in a discussion with ex-Chelsea and Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho, super-agent Jorge Mendes as well as Peter Lim. The Johor Crown Prince then embarked on a trip to Europe; meeting leaders from teams like Paris St. Germain, Real Madrid as well as Barcelona.
