“We cannot help KAFA anymore” – Datuk Hamidin on unpaid salaries

Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) secretary-general Datuk Hamidin Mohd Amin has described the accusations of Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) president Tan Sri Annuar Musa, who claimed that the national body takes action without discussion, as unjust.

Datuk Hamidin has also suggested that he has had numerous discussions with KAFA regarding the issue of unpaid salaries by the state government to their former players.

“Tan Sri Annuar is wrong because we have approached Datuk Ismail (secretary-general) and Datuk Rosmadi Ismail (deputy president) since day one,” he said as quoted by Berita Harian.

“I have been contacting them and we have even met a few times.

Hamidin spoke briefly regarding this issue because he feels he has offered all of his support.

“The FAM and myself have tried our utmost best to help all of the teams in the country but incidents like these (unpaid salaries) are the reason why we cannot assist them anymore.

Tan Sri Annuar Musa slammed FAM and Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) after both parties threatened to dock points and ban the club from participating in the upcoming June transfer window for not paying the salaries to their former players.
