Ex-Pahang forward Dickson Nwakaeme is reportedly speaking to Selangor FA over the possibility of signing for them when the June transfer window officially gets underway.
The Nigerian striker has been without a club since leaving Pahang FA at the end of last year, and he’s reportedly keen on the idea of being reunited with Zainal Abidin Hassan, who was Pahang’s head coach last year.
While rumours have actively Dickson with a move to Perak, it’s highly unlikely that the Seladangs would be able to match his wage demands, even if they are currently in the market for a new foreign signing.
However, an inside source has revealed that Selangor are incredibly keen on Dickson, though talks are constantly hitting a brick wall, due to his contractual demands.
The source went on to also reveal that Mauro Olivi will be shown the exit door, should they complete the signature of Dickson. The 29 year-old will then be paired with Liberian forward Patrick Ronaldinho for the rest of the season.
That said, the move will only go through if Dickson agrees to compromise on his salary as Selangor have reportedly made it clear that they would be unwilling to match his current demands – an amount that is deemed by FAS to be rather excessive.
