Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) sponsor Datuk Seri Dr Hasmiza Othman hopes Velizar Popov have what it takes to bring down Selangor at the Shah Alam Stadium later tonight.
The Pamoga Qu Puteh founder has noticed the improvement of the team’s morale since the announcement of Velizar Popov as head coach and believes they can upset The Red Giants.
“I’m positive that the head coach (Velizar Popov) will turn things around at the club because of his vast experience in Asian football,” Datuk Seri Vida said as quoted by Berita Harian.
“I will attend the Selangor and Kelantan game at the Shah Alam Stadium as a sign of support. I also hope that we move on from our past performances and focus on the future.
A number of Pamoga Qu Puteh The Red Warriors (PQPTRW) players have been impressed with the Bulgarian head coach’s training methods since joining the club last week. Veteran players such as Nor Farhan Mohammad and Indra Putra Mahayuddin both commented on the ex-Maldive national team coach’s level of commitment and discipline towards the team.
Last month, Datuk Seri Vida announced that she will reconsider her position at the club if they lose the next two Malaysia Super League (MSL) games. The East Coast-based team lost the first match to FELDA United this month and face Selangor in the second match tonight.
Will Datuk Seri Vida still be at the club if Kelantan fail to beat Selangor tonight?
