PKNS FC head coach E. Elavarasan has singled out Johor Darul Ta’azim (JDT) captain Safiq Rahim as one of the most dangerous players on the pitch to be watched when the two sides meet in the final of the Superbest Power FA Cup at the Shah Alam Stadium on Saturday.
The Red Ants boss mentioned that Safiq Rahim is a threat because of his ability to dictate the play and also added that the Argentinian duo of Jorge Pereyra Diaz and Juan Martin Lucero are capable of troubling his defensive line due to their experience of the game.
“Safiq Rahim will be a dangerous threat to my team. However, the entire team will also play a part in bringing us down, so we need to be aware,” Elavarasan said as quoted by Utusan.
“We will have a good chance of winning if we can stop Diaz and Lucero from scoring.
The ex-FELDA United head coach has told his team to focus on their preparations and not on the 50,000 Southern Tigers fan that will be flooding the Shah Alam Stadium this weekend.
“I believe that anything can happen because it is a cup final. We will fight until the end.”
