“My players are raring to go” – Irfan Bakti optimistic ahead of Kelantan clash

FELDA United head coach Irfan Bakti is optimistic that his side will record a win against Kelantan in their Malaysia Super League (MSL) match at the Tun Abdul Razak Stadium today.

The ex-Selangor man instructed his players to focus only on earning all three points while enforcing a tough and smart defensive display to avoid Kelantan from scoring any goal.

“We cannot afford to drop a single point because we stand a chance of being overtaken by Johor Darul Ta’azim (JDT), who will face Penang,” Irfan Bakti said as quoted by Sinar Harian.

“Therefore, we have an obligation to the fans of winning by not wasting our chances at home.

Irfan Bakti also told his players to be cautious of the Pamoga Qu Puteh The Red Warriors (PQPTRW) squad because they are in high spirits after thrashing Terengganu 3-0 previously.

“The 3-2 defeat to Perak did a lot of damage, but the players have to be strong to move on. Anyway, the players are happy and raring to go against Kelantan tonight,” Irfan concluded.

The Fighters sit on the summit of the league after nine matches of the season, only ahead of The Southern Tigers on goal difference. Francis Forkey Doe is expected to be the star man for the home side as the Liberian international has scored seven goals in nine games, but they will miss out on the guidance of captain Shukor Adan, who is ruled out with a foot injury.
