Just a couple of weeks back, Liverpool seemed like the perfect football club. With an average squad, they mustered an epic comeback against Borussia Dortmund to book their spot in the semis of the Europa League.
More importantly, there seemed to be an unreal sense of camaraderie amongst the players, with Klopp being at the pinnacle of it.
Last night though, things didn’t look too well. Klopp strangely opted to use Firmino upfront, keeping Sturridge on the bench. And while it didn’t work too well, it got from bad to worse as they conceded a late goal that handed Villareal a minor advantage in the tie.
Predictably, Klopp wasn’t his usual ecstatic self after the game.
