Johor DT to form partnership with Japanese side Hokkaido Consadole

Johor Darul Ta’azim (JDT) continued to assert their dominance within Asia when they signed a partnership deal with Japanese side Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo yesterday evening.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) up to five years was signed between The Southern Tigers and the J2 league team, which mainly focuses on the development of both clubs.

Johor Football Association (PBNJ) president Datuk Ismail Karim was eager to announce that the deal was struck for the purposes of development of football academies, including the transfer of players and coaches as well as organizing a number of friendly matches.

“The Japanese club will join the first team in training,” he said as quoted by Utusan Malaysia.

Datuk Ismail Karim also added that both parties will share ideas and information in five years regarding the betterment of football in order to strengthen their relationship. He mentioned that the Johor-based club are lucky to be given the chance to learn from Consadole Sapporo.
