“No Indra and Muslim, no problem” – K. Devan ahead of Pahang clash

Kelantan boss K. Devan believes the absence of Indra Putra and Muslim Ahmad – due to suspension – will not heavily impact his squad’s morale when they face Pahang at the Darul Makmur Stadium tonight.

The Red Warriors are on the back of an impressive performance against Johor DT last time out and as far as K. Devan is concerned, his squad is well prepared to keep their momentum going against Razip Ismail’s side.

“I can say that the team has prepared really well. I’ve seen the commitment and concentration in all of my players during training sessions. They’re also really confident now, especially after the draw against JDT,” he told Sinar Harian.

“I agree, Indra Putra and Muslim Ahmad are vital players for the team but this is a chance for other players to prove their capabilities. I’m confident that Mohd Farisham (Ismail) and (Jonatan) Lucca can replace the two players,” he explained.

According to the former Negeri Sembilan coach, the win tonight will not only improve their league standings but it will also act as a morale booster as they prepare to face bitter rivals Terengganu in their next match.

“This could be a really good chance for us to collect three points and also boost squad morale. We’ve got an objective for this game and hopefully my players will be able to fulfill it,” he added.

While Muslim and Indra are out, Brendan Gan remains doubtful for this clash as he’s battling a minor thigh injury.
