Kelantan Football Association (KAFA) president Tan Sri Annuar Musa has asked for a total revamp of the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) by allowing The Crown Prince of Johor, Tunku Ismail ibni Sultan Ibrahim, to head the line-up in order for football to show progress.
He said that a change of leadership may be the only resort that the country has considering the number of times that the governing body have failed to improve the standard of football.
“We will not progress if nothing is done,” Tan Sri Annuar Musa said as quoted by Utusan.
“I cannot see our football scene getting anywhere and they have been given all the time and money to do something. However, the game will improve if Tunku Ismail is in charge.
He then commented on the lack of plans carried out by the FAM help the country advance.
“The Japanese Football Association has a 50-year plan and a blueprint for the future of the national team and look where they rank today,” he concluded as quoted by The Star.
Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah (Pahang FA) is the current president while he is aided by Datuk Seri Afandi Hamzah (Kelantan FA) and Datuk Abdul Mokhtar Ahmad (Selangor FA).
