National badminton duo Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong have been eliminated from the second round of the OUE Singapore Open after losing out to Lee Yong-Dae and Yoo Yeon-Seong of South Korea at the Singapore Indoor Stadium yesterday evening.
The pair lost 21-14, 21-13 in 39 minutes to the World No. 1 pair. This is Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong’s second consecutive defeat to the South Korean duo after being eliminated by them in the Celcom Axiata Malaysia Open last week. They lost 13-21, 11-21 in Shah Alam.
Lee Yong-Dae-Yoo Yeon-Seong will now face Angga Pratama-Ricky Suwardi tomorrow.
Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong will now focus on Wuhan, China, where they will compete in the Badminton Asia Championships (BAC), which will be held from April 26 to May 1.
